‘Everyone Wins’ in Land Deal with PlazaCorp, Says Kalamazoo Administrator
KALAMAZOO, MI — Negotiations for a land swap deal between a major local developer and Kalamazoo County are set to begin.
At its March 7 meeting, the Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners directed Administrator Tracie Moored to finalize an agreement that would trade the county courthouse at 227 W. Michigan Ave. in exchange for a parcel on the west side of downtown. While PlazaCorp plans to acquire the courthouse building under the legal name MW Acquisitions LLC, not much else is known about its intentions.
