The Globe Building was constructed in the early 1900s by the Globe Casket Company, then sat vacant and condemned for years until PlazaCorp redeveloped it in 1998.
It underwent a complete renovation from heavy timber construction and brick walls, to a beautifully carved-out dramatic atrium entrance, loft offices and a two-story restaurant space that now houses The Beer Exchange.
These are true loft offices, with the original beam and brick exposed and the entire space flooded with natural light from the many windows facing all directions. Views to the north and east are of other historic properties expertly redeveloped by PlazaCorp; to the south and west, you can see the Festival Site and the quickly-changing downtown Kalamazoo skyline.
This downtown location is within an easy walk to a number of restaurants, including Shakespeare’s Pub, Bell’s Eccentric Café, HopCat and more.
The building offers rare onsite parking.
