An authentically historic loft-style space originally built in the 1930s and restored in 2008, the United Building has a colorful past, serving as an armory and dance hall through the World War II era. Later the building was turned into an A&P Grocery Store, then used by a series of electrical supply companies, including the building’s namesake, United Electric.
The 2008 renovation exposed the expansive windows, original wood & steel columns & beams, and beautifully restored brickwork. Major tenants include Tower Pinkster and Chase Bank.
The property offers onsite parking for employees & guests, a rarity in a location within walking distance to Kalamazoo’s best dining, shopping, entertainment options and more.
